We now live in a high-rise for seniors and disabled people; what do I miss the most??

The HUGE kitchen that we had in our house -- everyone would come to our house for all the holidays and birthdays, etc.

When our sons were toddlers I baked 3 times a week -- nothing from a mix, either. Home made cakes, pies, cookies, etc.

Now that I am semi-retired with NO toddlers hanging on my legs -- do I bake even once a week -- very rarely.!!!

I used to make home made candy and decorated cakes. I still have my Wilton tips and candy molds but just don't seem to find the time or the energy any more.

My grandmother cooked and baked on a coal stove and she was the best baker you would ever want to meet.

I'm just an old-fashioned lady - I knit, crochet, sew, embroider and all types of needlework. I also used to make home made jellies and jams and made my own apple pie filling to preserve along with vegetables, etc.

I ALWAYS use a book mark and since I make them I always have an amble supply.

Taught my children to respect books or any other item that was the property of someone else.
