Mary Campisi writes emotion-packed books
about second chances. Whether
contemporary romances, women's fiction,
or Regency historicals, her books all
center on belief in the beauty of that
second chance.
Mary should have known she'd become a
writer when at age thirteen she began
changing the ending to all the books she
read. It took several years and a number
of jobs, including registered nurse,
receptionist in a swanky hair salon,
accounts payable clerk, and practice
manager in an OB/GYN office, for her to
rediscover writing. Enter a mouse-less
computer, a floppy disk, and a dream
large enough to fill a zip drive. The
rest of the story lives on in every book
she writes.
When she's not working on her craft or
following the lives of five adult
children, Mary's digging in the dirt
with her flowers and herbs, cooking,
reading, walking her rescue lab mix,
Cooper, or, on the perfect day, riding
off into the sunset with her very own
hero/husband on his Ultra Limited aka
Harley.
Mary has published with Kensington,
Carina Press, and The Wild Rose Press.
She is currently working on A Family
Affair: Fall, Book Four in the popular
Truth in Lies Series, due out Fall 2014.

Re: The Seduction of Sophie Seacrest (8:47am September 28, 2011):
There's something about witnessing the pain of a brooding hero as he realizes the woman he loves doesn't love him, (at least he thinks she doesn't), that tears me apart. When it's my story and I get to have my ending, you can bet that hero is not going to experience that pain at the end of the book! That's why I wanted to see Rhett and Scarlett get together in the end!
Re: The Seduction of Sophie Seacrest (11:40am September 27, 2011):
Back in the day, Judith McNaught wrote wonderful brooding heroes - loved those guys!
Re: The Seduction of Sophie Seacrest (11:05pm September 26, 2011):
So many great brooding heroes - seems Mr. Rochester is a top pick!
Peggy, are you able to read books on your pc? If so, you can enter and if you win, I could send you a pdf file which you would be able to read on your computer. I'm sorry this book is not available in paperback.

Regarding the number of books for An Unlikely Husband Series - I'm thinking five, but if the characters cooperate, there could be more:)
Marjorie- you have a brooding hero husband?!
Renee- another Matthew Macfadyen Darcy fan! That voice, those eyes...oh, so wonderfully Darcylicious!

I always wanted to see Rhett turn around and profess his love to a changed Scarlett. I know the ending is more powerful the way it was written, but I also want a happily ever after.

Thanks for the comments! I find that when I'm immersed in a particular genre, my brain thinks differently which is a great mental exercise.
Has anyone seen the new Jane Eyre movie? I hear it's a bit different from the book, but still very emotional and romantic. It's on my list to watch.
Re: A Family Affair (9:09am May 11, 2011):

Re: A Family Affair (2:46pm May 6, 2011):
Cindi makes a good point. I think oftentimes we form mini families depending on situations. Before I forget, Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms! I hope you have a great day!!
Re: A Family Affair (11:06am May 6, 2011):
Love the post about our animals as family! This is so true! Cooper is my best buddy - he's in the pic of me above. And what about siblings? I'm the third of four and when we are all together, which is rare since we live in different states, the pecking order prevails...
Re: A Family Affair (10:59am May 6, 2011):
As expected, the subject of family lends itself to some pretty lively conversation. Families can represent love and unity but they can also be sources of bitter disappointment and betrayal. We all want to believe that no matter what happens, family will be there for us and when they aren't it can be devastating. I've been one of the lucky ones who has always had the support of my family. I can't say I was so lucky in my first marriage though...which was when my family stood by me and helped me as I became a single mother with three young children. Life went on, I grew stronger and went on to meet and marry my soulmate....and blend my three children and his two to form our own family. Thanks to everyone for sharing.

Hi Everyone:
There was such an overwhelming response to this blog that I asked Fresh Fiction if they would select a second winner to receive A Taste of Seduction. Susan Leech, you're the winner!

Re: A Taste of Seduction (1:57pm March 11, 2011):
Scars are indeed intriguing..Badge of honor? Dangerous encounter? Mark of courage? The possibilities are endless. Much of Anthony's refusal to open his heart is in the story behind the scar.
