I think it would be so awesome to travel across America in the late 1800's at the turn of the century, as a well-to-do lady, of course! To me that was such an exciting time - the very beginning of the modern age! Women were starting to emerge and be recognized as independant thinkers, but they still dressed, and were treated, like ladies. There were amazing changes going on and amazing inventions were being unveiled every day.
