Dylan Hart is second in command of Special Defense Force (SDF), a group of black ops warriors that specializes in doing the Department of Defense's undercover dirty work, and he's the boss of those who operate out of Steele Street in Denver. Lately, he's been avoiding his office as much as possible because of Skeeter Bang, a young, street-smart punk who's grown into an irresistibly sexy woman the past few years she's been at Steele Street. Dylan's attraction to Skeeter gets stronger every time he's around the office, and he can't keep his mind off of her when he's not there. Skeeter feels the same attraction to Dylan, but she knows he thinks she's just a kid and too young for him. Not only is Skeeter computer savvy and highly intelligent, but she's been training hard to become a member of the SDF team, which doesn't sit well with Dylan. But her 21st birthday is in a few days, and he just can't seem to control her.

What should be an easy in-and- out job erupts into a full-blown shoot-out that has Dylan and Skeeter running for their lives and trying to figure out who double-crossed them. There's someone out there with a vendetta against SDF, as well as a personal vengeance. Will Dylan be able to keep himself and Skeeter alive long enough to uncover the culprit and bring them to justice?

Ms. Janzen continues her sexy, romantic suspense series with another dangerous and thrilling story. Not only is the plot fast-paced and gripping, but we catch glimpses of what's going on with characters from earlier books. Another winner for this talented author.
