Fredia McFadden is known for her mind- twisting psychological novels, and WANT TO KNOW A SECRET?, will keep you on the edge until the end. McFadden is always great at describing her characters, who make you feel like you are really reading about one of the ladies from the PTA in her story. Each character in her books can be so authentic, making the stories seem true to life. I love how her writing is not gruesome, but she gives just enough details that you know what is going on without the gore. This really makes her books reach many who want the thrill of a psychologically twisting novel.
April Materson is just one of the moms in the neighborhood who has a best friend, a son, and a very hardworking husband. She goes to PTA meetings, bookclub meetings, and she is really a great friend who loves to bake for the whole neighborhood. She lives on a typical street and spends her days recording videos online showing others how to cook using some special secrets in her recipes. She also has some other secrets that she is not sharing. Someone may know them. You will have to read this novel to find out.
McFadden makes it clear in this novel that secrets come with a price, as expected. But for whom? WANT TO KNOW A SECRET? will really have you questioning your own neighbors across the street. I love it when an author can put that doubt in your mind about not only their characters, but in a mind-baffling way, with the real people you may know. Just like all of her other novels, this one is worth reading.
WANT TO KNOW A SECRET? By Feida McFadden is a great novel to curl up on a cozy night or sandy beach but just make sure there are no distractions. This is one you will not want to put down.
Influencer and baking sensation April Masterson knows the secret to the perfect gooey brownies. Or how to make key lime squares that will melt in your mouth. But if you keep watching her offline, you may find out some other secrets about April. Secrets she'd rather you didn't know.
Like… Where did her son go when he snuck out late at night? What was she doing with the local soccer coach behind fogged windows?
April's secrets are enough to destroy her.
I'll make sure of that.
