A serial killer is stalking victims on a dating app and at local businesses. He’s handsome, funny, magnetic, and murderous. For Meghan, Skye, and Brecia, their fates have already been decided, but when the three unite in the afterworld, they realize they just might have the power to stop this evil predator in this outstanding thriller, ASK FOR ANDREA by Noelle W. Ihli. Brecia died first after the man she dated for less than a week turned into a monster and killed her a year later. Meghan died next after thinking she found the needle-in-the-haystack of eligible bachelors on a dating app. Skye, the youngest, died third when a regular customer at her coffee shop offered her a ride home. All three women become victims of a sadistic killer, who hides behind a normal life with his wife and two daughters. All the victims’ families are suffering, and the three dead women are powerless to stop the killer again, until they finally meet each other on the other side. Now, as they join forces, they are intent on keeping his wife and daughters safe, leading detectives to incriminating clues, and preventing further deaths. But they have limitations in the physical world, and as a killer gets cornered, he begins contemplating eliminating his liabilities. Can they stop him in time, or will they have to witness another horrific crime? ASK FOR ANDREA is one of the best thrillers I have read this year. Readers are thrown into the action immediately, and can feel the tension rise as the killer moves from one victim to the next. The premise works perfectly as three victims experience their own deaths, feel the sorrow in its wake, and team up to take down the heinous perpetrator. Readers will cheer as they make progress, cringe as they hit roadblocks, and feel the terror as they travel through the forests bringing a woman and her children to safety, while a predator tracks them down. There are moments of sheer terror, when a wife learns her grave is being dug, and moments of triumph, when a woman in a bar does what she promises to save another. This edge-of-your-seat thriller moves quickly and efficiently, leaving no wasted space. The haunting elements, investigative details, and the final moments of desperation work perfectly to make ASK FOR ANDREA a true gem in the genre.
