MY FAVORITE HOLIDATE is the fifth book in the How to Date series by Lauren Blakely. However, as is often the case with many of her books, the characters cross over to other series. This book can be read as a standalone, but there are definitely plenty of character cameos from other books.
Wilder Blaine is the single dad and billionaire who owns resorts, eco-friendly companies, and the fictional San Francisco Renegades professional football team. Fable Calloway went from jewelry designer and jewelry store assistant manager in an earlier book to running the merchandise for the football franchise.
As maid of honor and best man for the whirlwind Christmas wedding between her sister and his best friend, they are already spending more time than usual together. And with Wilder’s Aunt wanting to set him up constantly and Fable’s cheating ex-boyfriend planning to be present for the entire celebration, fake dating is the perfect and convenient solution for both of them.
This is a fast read with lots of tropes, including one bed, a small town Christmas celebration, fake dating, and matchmaking relatives. Plenty of spicy situations, hilarious shenanigans, and significant angst where both main characters sabotage the relationship but finally find their HEA.
