Just as I was becoming immersed in the story, the author threw a gut punch in. It is so shocking, trust me on this, readers may go back and reread it just to be sure what they think happened really happened. It did. Then, just to add another dimension, the author chooses an unexpected narrator. Ultimately, FINDING GRACE, a debut novel by Loretta Rothschild, is a love story that moves from one life to another. It explores unexpected changes and second chances. New characters are introduced, and they blend with those from the past, sometimes with unexpected results. Honesty is a strong and central theme of the story, and its importance is felt throughout the story. Beautifully told, packed with emotion, moving and unique, FINDING GRACE is, without a doubt, one of the best books I have ever read. Highly recommended.
