Cate is such a fun character! The empathy and compassion she has developed as a trauma nurse, along with her ability to keep her wits about her in a crisis, serve her well in her unexpected role in the world of the Fae. Cate has previously shunned and detested everything to do with the Gage family and I like that Geneva Lee didn’t ignore that history in this second book. Instead, the romance is far more natural as Cate has misgivings and doubts along the way despite her very heated attraction to Lach.
And oh Lach… he learns some very hard lessons in FALLEN COURT and my heart still aches for him after the startling revelations in the cliffhanger ending. Lach is such a strong leader, willing to sacrifice himself for others and he has to deal with some absolutely gut-wrenching events. FALLEN COURT left me in tears more than once. Geneva Lee, how can you keep doing this to my heart?
FALLEN COURT is everything I hoped the sequel to Filthy Rich Fae would be and more! Geneva Lee has a gift for capturing the hearts of her readers and then sending us on a whirlwind of twists and turns, leaving us with moments of both joy and tears.
