Romance Small Town

Berkley Carr came to Cemetery, Indiana for a new start after a scandal. She's now the director of the local animal shelter called THE LOVE SHACK. Berkley has vowed to never fall in love again. Lawson Sadler moved to Cemetery to get away from his childhood life of poverty. He's started a t-shirt and printing business. Lawson just ran into a woman from his past. Berkely and Lawson are trying to ignore each other since they lived in the same neighborhood when they were children. When Berkley's past comes into her present will she be strong enough to fight back? Lawson was her protector all those years ago and just may have to help Berkley.

THE LOVE SHACK is the third book in Lori Foster's Indiana Summer series. Two people who grew up in the same poverty-stricken area find themselves trying to avoid each other when they move to the same small town of Cemetery. Berkley Carr moved to town with her rescue dog Hero and runs the local animal shelter. Lawson Sadler moved to town to get away from the poverty he grew up in. They were neighbors back when they were in high school so not wanting to reconnect because of the memories. Berkely came to get away from a scandal that she doesn't want her near town to know about so when she bumps into Lawson, she's afraid it'll all come up again. Instead of the past keeping them apart it brings them together because they know each other. They find themselves getting closer and revealing feelings they didn't want to feel and being neighbors again. Can they become more than just neighbors?

THE LOVE SHACK has romance, a little danger, and very unique characters that will steal the reader's heart. There are funny moments that will have you laughing, and others who pull on your emotions as these two people try to find their happily ever after with help from a town full of matchmaking friends who have become family. Cemetery, Indiana a town where even a mannequin can have a romance and find love after a little difficulty.

SUMMARY

When Berkley Carr opened Love Shack Animal Haven, she thought she’d finally put her past behind her. But sometimes she feels the sting of the scandal from her youth, especially when she crosses paths with her handsome neighbor. So she keeps her head down and pours all her love into caring for animals.

Lawson Salder moved to Cemetery, Indiana, to get away from the grinding poverty of his childhood. He barely knows Berkley, but every time he sees her, the shame and pain come crashing back. He's aware she’s got some major baggage of her own. They're better off just avoiding each other.

But that’s impossible in a town full of matchmaking busybodies. The animals seem in on the scheme, too! Berkley’s thieving cat keeps stealing things from him, and her rescue dog repeatedly tries to save Lawson, even though he doesn’t need saving…
