Finn is a levelheaded businessman who is not beyond using the force needed for his family. We find he is certainly more than capable of protecting Althea when push comes to shove. Violence is not a complete stranger to the NICU doctor so that side of Finn does not send her running from him.

Having read all of Ms. Barclay’s mafia/bratva/mob books, I have found each one different and just as fascinating as the first one I read. In MOB STAR readers will get to know those who are now in a leadership role of the Irish Mob and how they are trying to overcome the bad rap – one well deserved – from past actions. As a hint, there is a specific code that had been in play for years that no women or children would be involved, endangered or hurt in business. That code was broken and now the new men in charge have to get beyond that and make sure this never happens again.

In MOB STAR there is a lot of action, danger and intrigue that fills the pages along with everyday life trials and a very steamy romance. The family relationships are easily explained so you quickly know who belongs to whom. Luckily for Finn, Althea is more than willing to explore the darker side of Finn and though he is reluctant to let her see all of him, she soon wins out. When you pick up MOB STAR sit back and relax and prepare for a multitude of emotions that this book will pull out of you!
