Cameron Kane has been trying to adjust to what is now his new reality. After his wife Alison died a year ago as the result of a car crash, he is now a widower with a seven-year-old daughter. Always in the back of his mind are the questions he harbors about his wife's death. Why was she in a car with her boss, Maxwell Harding, after he was charged with multiple crimes? Especially, when she was helping the authorities with their investigation. However, both Alison and Maxwell were positively identified by dental records. Then who was the man bearing an eerie resemblance to Harding rushing to get away from Cameron when he spots him in an airport? Cameron knows if he is ever to have any peace and to be able to move on, he needs answers to his questions. Perhaps the most pressing question is whether he and his daughter will survive his quest. BEYOND ALL DOUBT, by Hilton Reed, is a well-plotted and fast-moving story. The varied group of characters covers a wide spectrum. Coming from various walks of life, they come with some surprising skill sets and motives. Even so, Cameron will stop at nothing to uncover what he feels is the truth about his wife's death, which is a good thing considering the precarious situations his digging leads him to. The more he learns the more danger he encounters as the story races to a surprising conclusion. Well crafted and exciting, BEYOND ALL DOUBT holds readers' attention from start to finish. Highly recommended.
