Romance Paranormal

Roxie Wolff had a rather rough day so she thought a swim in the ski lodge pool would be the perfect pick-me-up. The last thing she expected to find was a man floating face down in the pool. With her military training and the help of their St. Bernard avalanche rescue dog, Rosco, she manages to get him out of the pool and do CPR. She would soon realize her motto of A GOOD WOLF IS HARD TO FIND is no longer true.

Agent Dylan Powers, of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, never expected that his job tracking men who are illegally hunting out of season would lead him to almost dying in his soon-to-be mate’s pool. After recovering, in the clinic and then in Roxie’s home, he quickly learns what it is to be part of a pack. Aside from the illegal hunting, it is found that one of the men has been killed and there was a boy and another man (illegally using bear traps) who might be witnesses to that murder adding still another twist to the plot. Then when things heat up with Roxie, he seriously starts to think about settling down.

A GOOD WOLF IS HARD TO FIND takes readers back into Terry Spears' Silver Town Wolves series. The ski resort, Timberline Ski Lodge, is owned by Roxie and her quadruplet siblings. While getting to revisit with the Wolff family as we get their day-to-day experiences as lodge owners and as shifters. Giving readers that look into that part of their lives makes it all feel realistic and seeing them deal with some of the things they do makes you glad you don’t own a lodge.

One of the fun aspects of Ms. Spear’s writing style is her details that offer her readers the enjoyment and feel of being part of the book. Several meals are so detailed that I find myself wanting to try them or at least getting hungry. Something else different in this series is that though there is a bit of sexual tension – these wolves might play and enjoy one another but they do not mate until they are sure they have found the right one. Following the emotional journey that Dylan goes through – he had been orphaned young – as he learns about family, gets to know members of the pack and town, brings all of it to life.

A GOOD WOLF IS HARD TO FIND is filled with action, danger and lots of twists and turns that are unexpected. And then when readers get to the finale you will find yourself in awe as you wonder how this author was able to come up with that rather big twist! A fantastic read as always with the romance and HEA that is always needed in any romance.

Suddenly, Dylan finds himself in deep trouble, nearly drowned and left to die, until he's rescued by a beautiful she-wolf.

When local ski lodge owner Roxie Wolff first found Dylan, her curiosity got the better of her. Who was this handsome wolf and how did he end up in such dire straits? Things start to heat up between Roxie and Dylan as she takes him into her home to help him recover.
