Marco Mancinelli is the final holdout in his family – he is never going to marry. Never going to bring a woman into his world. He has seen too much danger brought to the women they bring in. The Mafia life of danger, secrets and continual harassment is no place to bring a woman. It would take a MAFIA STAR to change his mind. Elizabeth Russo met Marco at her sister’s wedding to his brother. They didn’t get together until they met up again at a club. Sparks fly despite what Marco plans. He didn’t expect to ever find the one who would change his plans, but his “Beth” does just that. She certainly didn’t plan to fall for someone in that world. Little does she know fate sometimes plays her own games. MAFIA STAR is the finale of the "Mancinelli Brotherhood" series by author Sabine Barclay and it does bring the storyline to an amazing conclusion. Marco is the final holdout out and Elizabeth – I love that he is the only one who can call her Beth, everyone else calls her Liz – is the perfect match for him. There are the usual twists and turns and some unexpected ones. Add in the appearance of some of the past characters including Sinead Scotto, (Gabriele’s wife from Mafia Angel), who shows up at their attorney after the alphabets pull a raid and arrest them all, including Elizabeth. You could feel the officers and various agents quaking in their boots when she let them know that heads would roll if things weren’t done right. As a finale – MAFIA STAR is perfect in that it draws all of the characters in and gives fans the finishing touches we need to move on. The family is the most fun when they are together – they bicker, banter and joke but they each have each other’s backs. If you want action, danger, drama and a very realistic look at both sides of the law you want to read MAFIA STAR. Oh and, of course, the romantic side is ultra steamy so be prepared for that as well.
