Abigail Drake is a witch -- one of the seven Drake sisters,
all of whom are witches of one kind or another. Abigail is
a truthfinder and has an affinity with sea creatures. When
Alexandre, her former lover from Russian, shows up, she
wants nothing to do with him, since she thinks he betrayed
her after causing her to use her magic, resulting in the
death of an innocent man. But Alexandre won't let her get
away a second time. And when she learns she's somehow mixed
up in the reason he's there -- stolen art being smuggled out
of Russia -- they will need to work together to survive the
smuggling ring and a contract on Alexandre's life.
Knowing this was a Feehan novel, I was prepared for a
treat -- and I wasn't disappointed. This installment in the
Drake sisters' stories has plenty of magic, and if you read
Ms. Feehan's novels, you know it has a lot of the steamy
stuff she does so well. Grab a big glass of ice water or
other cool libation and enjoy. A very good read.
The third daughter of seven in a magical bloodline, Abigail
Drake was born with an affinity for water and a strong bond
with dolphins. After she witnesses a murder, she flees
right into the arms of Alexsandr Volstov. On the trail of
stolen Russian antiquities, he's a relentless Interpol
agent--and the man who once broke Abby's heart. But he
isn't going to let the only woman he's ever loved slip away
again.
