Thriller Crime | Mystery Woman Sleuth

THE 23rd MIDNIGHT by James Patterson opens with an unspeakable act of violence which leads to more acts of violence. A serial killer who calls himself "Blackout" is taunting Detective Lindsay Boxer by sending her videos of his crimes.  With no clues as to his identity, the case is beyond frustrating.  But when he kidnaps Lindsay's close friend, the case escalates to another level, can they find the serial killer before even more people die?

In this skillfully crafted and well-plotted story, tension runs high throughout.  The investigation is explained carefully and highly detailed.  Readers are given a front-row seat into how the search for answers unfolds. The story is packed with danger, action, and twists.  No stone is left unturned as Lindsay and her team rush to find the serial killer who has her friend's fate in his hands.

I found THE 23rd MIDNIGHT to be an intriguing and exciting story that is guaranteed to hold the reader's interest from start to finish.

The latest in this "successful and suspenseful" (Entertainment Weekly) series: an attention-seeking copycat is recreating murders by a famous killer from the Women’s Murder Club’s past—with devastating new twists.

Detective Lindsay Boxer put serial killer Evan Burke in jail.
Reporter Cindy Thomas wrote a book that put him on the bestseller list.
An obsessed maniac has turned Burke’s true-crime story into a playbook. And is embellishing it with gruesome touches all his own.
Now Lindsay’s tracking an elusive suspect, and the entire Murder Club is facing destruction.
