Romance Suspense | Small Town

Rusty Caldwell is an undercover agent. She’s between assignments when she has a one-night stand. Rusty can’t forget about the soldier she met in a hotel lobby and knows he’s changed her life forever. Cameron Pope is returning to the Middle East for another tour of duty as a special forces soldier. He has a one-night stand with a woman he meets at his hotel. When a soldier and a red-haired woman decide that no personal information will be revealed but regret pulls at them when they can’t forget about each other. When a case reunites the couple in Jubilee, Kentucky, they’ll work together to find the bad guys.

Sharon Sala starts a new suspense romance series in a tourist town called Jubilee, Kentucky with her recent release DON'T BACK DOWN. Three local families have banded together to form a corporation to protect themselves. One of those families is the Pope family. When Cameron Pope’s niece is kidnapped, he and his dog Ghost will run to the rescue. This kidnapping sets off an FBI investigation into human trafficking. DON'T BACK DOWN reunites a couple who can’t forget each other after a one-night stand. Reunited by a human trafficking case, these two will work through getting to know each other as well as finding the clues to solving the case. There’s murder, trust, romance, and intrigue.

In DON'T BACK DOWN, Sharon Sala takes on a subject that people aren’t comfortable with--human trafficking. Rusty and Cameron find that love and danger go hand in hand and that falling in love at first sight can be a real thing. A must-read and a great way to find a new romantic suspense author if you haven’t read Sharon Sala before. If you have, then it’s a return to her roots as an author and keeps the reader wondering about the final outcome.

SUMMARY

He barely has time to catch his breath...

Army veteran Cameron Pope arrives back in Jubilee, Kentucky, for the first time in years. He barely has time to catch his breath when he becomes embroiled in a race of life or death for his little niece and a deadly hunt for the human traffickers who are destroying the peace of his mountain town. When he's reunited with Rusty Caldwell—a woman from his past who he's never stopped thinking about—he wants to believe they can finally be together. But Cameron is shocked to find out that Rusty belongs to one of the rich families in Jubilee—the same rich folks who scorn the rural families living on the surrounding mountainside, in spite of knowing nothing about them. With their community in the crosshairs, Cameron and Rusty will have to find a way to end the feuding and take down the human trafficking ring if they're to have a chance at happiness.
