Fantasy | Romance Contemporary

All that Cassandra Gataki wants is to get out of Olympus and leave the treacherous Thirteen behind to save her sister from the shame of their parents' sins. But getting out isn't easy even after their parents died following the power grab. So Cassandra has worked for Apollo, who has been kind and generous offering her unwanted thoughts of RADIANT SIN, but she won't fall.

Apollo is struggling to get information on something that could make life for the Thirteen risky. He needs help and though he asks Cassandra to help him, he is reluctant to involve her. When she initially says no, he is actually relieved. Zeus is, however, not reluctant. He offers Cassandra what she wants: enough money and a free pass for her and her sister to leave Olympus. She is smart enough to raise the price and is shocked when he agrees to the exorbitant amount. How can she refuse? All it means is spending time with Apollo, pretending to be his lover, wearing fancy clothes, and dealing with the fools in the hierarchy. The very life she wants nothing to do with. Then she would be free. Little does she know that Apollo doesn't want her gone, he simply wants her.

RADIANT SIN is a Dark Olympus novel that has even more twists and turns than the previous books. I adored Apollo and Cassandra grew on me, especially when she got her head out of the air and realized what she wanted. I am guessing you can guess that what she wants is Apollo - but how she comes to that realization is one of those twists. The power plays of the Thirteen are such that a mere mortal can barely comprehend exactly why they do what they do. But it certainly makes for an entertaining escape.

If you enjoyed the first three Dark Olympus books you are going to love RADIANT SIN. The steamy side of all of Katee Robert's books is here, but she also allows her readers to live life right along with her extraordinary, over-the-top characters. Well-written, fun read that will have you breathlessly waiting for the next offering.

SUMMARY

As a disgraced member of a fallen house, Cassandra Gataki has seen firsthand what comes from trusting the venomous Thirteen. But when the maddeningly gorgeous and kind Apollo asks her to go undercover as his plus-one at a week-long party hosted by a dangerous new power player...Cassandra reluctantly agrees to have his back.

On one condition: when it's all over, and Apollo has the ammunition he needs to protect Olympus, she and her sister will be allowed to leave. For good.

Apollo may be the city's official spymaster, but it's his ability to inspire others that keeps him at the top. Despite what the rest of Olympus says, there's no one he trusts more than Cassandra. Yet even as their fake relationship takes a wicked turn for the scaldingly hot, a very real danger surfaces... threatening not only Cassandra and Apollo, but the very heart of Olympus itself.
