Jonas “Smoke” Harper is on a mission with two of his fellow Ghostwalkers to find the danger coming their way. He’ll do whatever it takes to protect his family. While he’s looking for the threat he comes across a woman in the middle of the mountains. Camellia Mist escaped from man who was using her to experiment on children to make the Ghostwalkers. She doesn’t trust anyone because of betrayals in the past. These two will help each other to fight the danger headed toward them. They’ll play a dangerous game against their enemy to protect the ones they love.

PHANTOM GAME is the eighteenth book in Christine Feehan’s Ghostwalkers series. A story that heads back to the first group of Ghostwalkers and updates the characters from previous books. A man and woman not looking for love find each other in the middle of nowhere. He learns more about his powers. She learns to trust. PHANTOM GAME has suspense, passion, and danger while bringing the reader up to date on former Ghostwalkers couples and the first group of them.

Christine Feehan continues her series with a new story of danger to family and finding love while working through individual issues. PHANTOM GAME is very worth the time to get reacquainted with the first Ghostwalkers and get the reader updated on some of the older stories in the series. The book is a must-read for any Christine Feehan fan and doesn’t disappoint the reader. She keeps you in suspense wondering who is behind the danger headed for the main characters and who are they after the woman or the Ghostwalkers. This reader highly recommends this book and any other that Christine Feehan has written.

SUMMARY

Jonas 'Smoke' Harper has watched his brothers find their perfect mates, never imagining he'd actually meet someone who complements every part of him-even the monster that lurks within. But his instant connection with Camellia goes far beyond wanting the intelligent, beautiful, and lethal woman in his bed. They are two parts of a whole, linked to each other and to a larger network that exists everywhere around them.

Camellia has lived on her own for a long time, relying on her unique psychic abilities to keep her safe. She knows that Jonas was literally made for her, and that makes their addictive connection more dangerous than a thousand enhanced super soldiers. Once the larger threat looming over them is dealt with she's going to get far away as fast as she can. Life has taught her that the only one she can truly trust is herself.

Jonas can sense Camellia is going to run-and the hunter inside doesn't want to let go. Not when he knows how good they'll be together. So he'll just have to use all of his considerable skills to convince her to stay....
