This last book in the trilogy deals with the oldest of three sisters who is determined to keep the enemy at bay, along with the man they consider to be an enemy. She’ll find the man isn’t as bad as they thought and just maybe the one to heal her heartbreak. Quicksand takes the reader through danger, suspense, and blackmail to a very satisfying conclusion. Janet Dailey wraps a wonderful Champions series about three strong women finding their way through the danger and world of professional bull riding. It shows the behind-the-scenes lives of those ranchers who bring the bulls to the Professional Bull Riding contest with some romance thrown into the mix.
Quicksand, Whiplash, and Whirlwind will give any Janet Dailey fan a thrill and is a must-read for anyone who is a fan of the modern western romance genre. I’m just sorry to see the end of the Champions Series because this reader fell in love with these wonderfully relatable characters.
