WICKED BEAUTY is the third of Katee Robert's Dark Olympus series. While this was not my favorite installment, I did enjoy the book. The chemistry of the three - Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus - is fiery, as is the case with all of Ms. Robert books. There is a lot of background information on all the characters that pulls you in, giving readers the chance to learn more about them. You will soon find yourself rooting for them to win.
Helen had been treated terribly by her father, an ex-boyfriend, and even the fellow competitors thought she was a joke - until she proved them wrong. But to get the full effect of her life you will have to read WICKED BEAUTY and see if winning is worth the chance of losing all that really matters.
WICKED BEAUTY is a modern look at greedy Olympus rulers and is, of course, a well written very steamy romance (it is MFM). There are times that Achilles needs to be taken down a peg or two but having seen his past you can sort of understand, but Patroclus is the perfect third. He is the voice of reason, the mediator, the lover who only wants to love and be loved. A lot of action can be found in these pages, especially when the battles begin. It is then that Helen might find that winning isn't all it's cracked up to be?
You will have to read WICKED BEAUTY to find out how it all ends for this threesome - or does their love come to a blazing end? Hint here - this author does amazing happily ever afters, but how she does it - that you will have to get your hands on WICKED BEAUTY to find out.
