Romance Historical

Gianelle wants nothing more than to be free. Born a slave, she dreams of the day when she'll be her own master. On the night she attempts her escape nothing goes right for her. First the king's emissary, Lord Dante Risande, discovers her as she tries to make her way from the keep and then it's found that her master has died and she's accused of murdering him. Instead of becoming victim to her accuser though, Gia is saved when Dante buys her.

Dante Risande is a highly skilled rogue and has yet to meet a woman who did not desire him. Gianelle sparks his interest when she becomes the first to refuse him. When Gia is accused of murdering her master, as the king's man, it's Dante's duty to investigate. Suspecting her innocence but knowing if he leaves her in the home of her late master any manner of horrible things will befall her, Dante buys Gia in order to protect her and also to give himself time to discover the murderer.

Dante's not only out to discover who's behind the murder of Lord Bryce Dermott, he's also working on finding proof that Dermott and his brother are the men responsible for murdering his sister. As suspected rebels, if he could find proof against them, he could not only avenge his sister and protect the king, he can also keep Gia from falling victim to Lord Dermott's brother, Edgar. If only Gianelle would learn to trust him. But how does a slave learn to trust a man who doesn't wholly believe in her innocence?

LORD OF TEMPTATION, the follow up to Paula Quinn's debut novel LORD OF DESIRE, is going to cement Ms. Quinn's place on the list of to be read historical writers. You'll be mesmerized by her ability to create a setting that seems so real you can picture yourself being there. If you haven't checked out this new author yet, run to your nearest book store and pick up her books. You won't be disappointed. Coming up next in December, look for the next installment into this delightful series with LORD OF SEDUCTION, which will feature Dante's sister, Tanon.

SUMMARY

EVERY WOMAN’S DESIRE

Norman lord Dante Risande never met a woman he couldn’t seduce...until a lovely slave named Gianelle refuses his bed and piques his interest. So when she’s accused of murder, he can’t sit idly by. As the King’s right hand, it’s his duty to investigate. But in order to save her, he must buy her.

NO MAN’S POSSESSION

A slave all her life, Gianelle wants nothing to do with men. Especially this silver-eyed, velvet tongued warrior. What she wants is her freedom, not to become another of Dante’s conquests. But as the only suspect in the killing of her last master, she has no choice except to put her faith in Dante...a man who questions everything, including her innocence.
