SUMMER NIGHTS WITH A COWBOY is the one book fans of author Caitlin Crews’ Kittredge Ranch series has been waiting for. We finally see why Zack left the ranch. It is funny and sad how miscommunications and non-communication can cause so much pain. And sometimes it is just simply not reading a situation correctly. Zack did just that, but his family's early days were rather volatile, so it is understandable that a teen would totally get something wrong. It was fun to watch as Janie slowly began to melt some of the ice around his heart, until he was hers.

The conversations between Janie and Zack are often times hilarious, as we already know that he has the wrong perception of her. When she announces that he needs a bit of charm school - his siblings run with that, which makes the Sunday family gatherings very interesting. Janie, herself, is an interesting woman, a mixture of sophistication and innocence, backbone, and sweetness. She was raised by her grandparents, never knowing her parents, and when she finds that some of her family came from Cold River, she jumps at the chance to learn more. Something of her past is the secret she hides.

SUMMER NIGHTS WITH A COWBOY will keep you glued to the pages. You learn more about Zack, Janie, their family secrets, the ups and downs of a romance when the man is fighting it, and finally the moment when he realizes that it is ok to love someone. This is a fantastic read that you won't want to end.
