LIGHTNING IN A MIRROR is the conclusion to the paranormal world in the Fogg Lake Series.  Jayne Krentz does a wonderful job of combining the worlds of her characters from the worlds of  Jayne Ann Krentz, Amanda Quick, and Jayne Castle.  LIGHTNING IN A MIRROR will bring together all the unusual characters that make up this paranormal world.  It will be interesting how once the mystery is solved concerning the Vortex lab it all ties back to the Amanda Quick, Jayne Ann Krentz, and Jayne Castle characters that bring the past, present, and future worlds together. 

Olivia LeClair is experimenting with speed dating with unsuccessful results.  Her first encounter will bring her face to face with a serial killer who attempts to murder her.  After her failure with the dating scene, she meets the mysterious Harlan Rancourt who convinces her to work with him in locating the legendary Vortex lab.   If she agrees to work with him he will help her find out who murdered her mother.

Harlan Rancourt was assumed dead when he shows up at the mysterious Foundation to inform the director, Victor Arganbright, that he is now the heir to the Foundation and that he needs the help of Olivia LeClair.  Does Harlan have ulterior motives and a hidden agenda?

Both Olivia and Harlan have unique talents.  But their odd talents will prove that they have more in common with each other.  Solving the mystery of finding the Vortex lab will become deadly.

In order to survive the dangerous encounters that they come face to face with, Olivia and Harlan will have to learn to trust each other and work together.  The conclusion to the Fogg Lake series will bring all the previous series together.  The worlds of crystals and smoke and mirrors provide some interesting encounters from the past, present, and future.
