Former SEAL Spiro "Romeo" Delgado has never had a problem with women. He loves them and then leaves them - after spending some quality time, of course. He is never going to give up his bachelor ways. But Mia Ennis just might be the one he will take a SHOT ACROSS THE BOW to have and to hold. If only he can pin her down to more than friends.
Mia Ennis joined Deep Six Salvage to help the team find the Santa Christina, the last thing she expects or wants is her attraction to Romeo. With her uncomfortable past and fears, she has learned to keep people at arm's length. It doesn't help that Romeo is someone she would rather hold close. Too bad she can't get past her crappy childhood and just go for it. But wait he's called Romeo for a reason, isn't he? Maybe a little Romeo and his no promises will get him out of her system. Or probably make it harder to run like she has so many times.
SHOT ACROSS THE BOW is author Julia Ann Walker giving her readers a heart racing read. She presents Mia as a mystery, one Romeo would love to solve. After they are endangered Romeo gives up any pretense of being friends and goes full SEAL. The person behind the danger will blow readers away, and give a more in depth look at the woman's guilt that she should not be feeling at all.
The guys and gals belonging to Deep Six Salvage are a varied bunch and really a riot. They all share a military background - so all are a mixture of tough guys don't take no crap to guys being in touch with their softer sides - just never tell them that's what they are doing. I love watching the byplay between these guys and most especially the dialogue between their attorney Cami and Doc. If words were daggers both would be in so much agony.
If you love a bit of angst, reluctance, emotional twists, sweet and steamy in your romance; action, danger and drama in your read then get your hands on SHOT ACROSS THE BOW and enjoy!
