Lorraine Heath\'s follow-up to Scoundrel of My Heart can be read as a stand alone book but is even more enjoyable if you read the first book too. In THE DUCHESS HUNT, Hugh Brinsley-Norton, Duke of Kingsland finds his happily ever after as he once again advertises for a wife. This time he passes the decision-making process off to his efficient and competent secretary, Penelope Pettypeace.
Even though Penn is in love with her employer, she focuses on the task at hand to find the Duchess that ticks all the boxes. The book includes strong leading characters in Hugh and Penn with interesting backstories full of unexpected twists as well as well written secondary characters. I would have liked to see glimpses of the characters from the first book. I hope to see more books in this series.
