Andi O'Roarke's life is about to change; even if she is determined that it should stay the same. Being one of the few female fire chiefs', she's worked hard to just be 'one of the guys'. Following in her father's footsteps, she's been trying to prove herself to her family over and over again that she can do it all on her own... Well, that is until she calls in a arson investigator, who happens to be as sexy as hell. Which really wouldn't be that bad except he keeps staring at her.
Tucker Fields was expecting to be in and out on this investigation. Nothing too out of the ordinary -- no one told him that he would be working with Andi. Not that working with a woman is bad, he's done it before, but he was never turned on by a fire chief before. Plus, he seems to keep sticking his foot in his mouth. For some reason, Andi's sassy attitude and the respect she gets from the men is what turns him on the most, but will he be able to get around that wall she has around her heart?
BODY HEAT is better then I thought it would be, although there wasn't much excitement from the investigation itself. The book revolves around Tucker and Andi, and how they find what they are missing in each other. The book is funny, sad, and steamy all the way through. All in all, I think Katherine Garbera did a good job.
