Romance Paranormal

Audiobook narrated by Patrick Zeller

The Wolf’s Royal Baby is the story of a shifter whose very life hinges on his mate having his baby and the woman who is shocked to find out that they’re fated to be together.

Harper Burns is just living her life when one day, she’s abducted by shifters. Much to her surprise, they’re interested in her comfort and health as they whisk her off to God knows where. Harper isn’t kept in the dark for long. When she meets Sebastian, he informs her that her father has traded his life for hers. That as long as she stays with Sebastian and has his baby, her father’s debts will be forgiven, and he’ll stay alive. This isn’t all that shocking to Harper, as her father has been hitting her up for money since she’d first gotten a job.

Being that this was a quick story, there wasn’t a lot of world building here, but we were given enough to know what was going on as Harper learns what’s happening. And it definitely left me wanting to know more about this world. While Harper wasn’t shocked to find out that it was her father who got her into this mess, it was a surprise that she was expected to give birth to Sebastian’s baby. Sebastian treated Harper very well, and was never forceful physically with her, but he was clear on what would happen to her father if she left. From the very beginning, Harper couldn’t help but be attracted to Sebastian, and while she wasn’t a wolf, it wasn’t long before her own possessive claws were coming out. Even with the short span of time this story covered, the author let the characters get to know each other. They were quick to see the good in each other, and there was chemistry from the beginning. The sex scenes were hot, and I enjoyed Sebastian’s dirty talk even if it did veer just a bit into cheesy at times. There was a side plot where someone was trying to kill Harper. The author was trying to lead the reader into thinking one thing, but it was too obvious and you knew it was going to go into another direction. But that didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the story. It was Harper and Sebastian’s relationship I was really invested in. There was also a cute side story with Sebastian’s sister and his alpha, and I’m hoping that is in another book in this series. If so, I will definitely be picking it up!

Overall, I found The Wolf’s Royal Baby to be an interesting read that stirred my interest from the very first page. I loved Harper and Sebastian's story and can’t wait to go back and read more from this series!

Narration: This audiobook was narrated by Patrick Zeller, and I thought he did a good job. He voiced the characters differently, so you always knew who was speaking, and I thought he did a good job with the women’s voices. I will say that the production could have been a bit better. There were a few times when the narrator’s voice went so low it was hard to hear, and I had to rewind and turn it up to catch what he was saying. Regardless, he did a good job, and I hope to hear more from him in the future.

SUMMARY

Harper Burns was just abducted from her house by four big, bad shifters. When she finds out her father traded her for his life to a wolf king, she’s ready to escape. Even more confusing is the fact Sebastian tells her she must have his baby. The craziest part is she’s actually considering it. Clearly, she lost her mind on the car ride to the castle.

Sebastian Roarhart is shifter royalty. He’s been cursed and needs to have a child or die. Now, he has to convince Harper to see him as more than some man holding her hostage. He needs her to fall for him. But it’s harder than he realizes when someone in his castle keeps trying to kill her.

Sebastian has secrets he’s keeping to save Harper from heartache. Harper knows one thing for sure: she can’t let him die. Not when he’s the first man in her life to show her how special she is. Time’s running out. When truths come to light about her family and past, only the man she’s come to love will be able to keep her safe.

Reader's Note: This is a dirty, sexy, romantic story meant to make you fall in love with a scarred alpha king. Enjoy
