How do you know when it’s safe to give your heart to someone. Interesting dilemma. Usually you meet, develop a friendship which becomes a relationship and then if the stars align – love. There is no script and no guarantees. Unfortunately for Callum Colton that is what he is looking for – a guarantee. Guess what Callum – there is no such thing. There is a lot of drama in COLTON FAMILY BODYGUARD. Some of it is part of an ongoing investigation into the shooting of Callum’s father Payne. So both Callum and Hazel become part of an investigative team searching for clues to the identity of Payne’s shooter and are now also dealing with the unexpected danger aimed at Hazel and Evie.

Witnessing a crime put Hazel’s five-year-old daughter Evie in someone’s crosshairs. Callum is back on guard and this time it is very personal. This time he has to protest two people that have somehow wormed their way into his heart.

COLTON FAMILY BODYGUARD is book three in the Coltons of Mustang Valley. This series is a collaborative of many different authors has been a joy to read and review. Callum is a tough sort of retired bodyguard with a soft heart – although he would quickly deny that. Hazel Hart is an independent single mother who has found success as a chef but her personal life revolves around her young daughter. And Evie Hart is just a delightful addition to this cast. Evie quickly becomes as important to tough Callum as she is to her mother and just about anyone that knows her.

You can’t go wrong with any of the stories in this series and COLTON FAMILY BODYGUARD is probably one of the best in terms of plot and suspense. Jennifer Morey is a very talented author with several titles published. Definitely, one to watch for.
