Thriller Psychological

After many years Claire finally found the love of her life. Claire met Alfie one night at a bar. Alfie laid on the charm and Claire fell for it, hook line and sinker. After several months they got married. Now all Claire wanted was to have a baby. Month after month went by and still no baby. Claire went to a doctor and was told everything with her is fine, so now it was Alfie's turn.

Alfie had no intentions of going to the doctor, but he did, and he told the doctor that don't bother I had a vasectomy years ago. You see Alfie was nothing but a con man. Everything about him was a lie. Alfie always tried his best to never let Claire find out. Alfie had gotten himself into a real mess, one of the many ladies he was conning got a little too much for him to handle. Alfie felt his only course was to kill her so he did. Now it's time to deal with Claire again.

Alfie came up with he thought was a brilliant plan. He was going to start emailing Claire using a completely different name. So Alfie's games begin. Claire has no idea who this Henry person is. Alfie decides to take it a little farther, now he is making it look like Henry has been in their home. Claire is completely spooked by all of this.

The plan is about to backfire on Alfie. Claire is not as dumb as he thought. Claire goes to his office and she finds the emails on his computer that are supposedly from Henry. Claire also went to see the doctor and he told her about Alfie's vasectomy. Now Claire is out to show Alfie just what she is made of.

Lake proves that women are not as dumb as some people think in THE LAST LIE. I really enjoyed the way he had Claire turn the tables on Alfie. Some of the ideas that Lake came up with shocked me. So, if you like romance, sometimes not the good kind and of course suspense, I feel that you will enjoy it.
