Mystery Book Lover | Mystery Cozy

This new cozy mystery has all the wonderful elements you look for in this type of genre. A MURDER BETWEEN THE PAGES with its loveable characters, and cannot put down storyline is one I enjoyed and couldn’t wait to get to it each night until I finished it. Written by Amy Lillard, it is the second in the  Main Street Book Club series and sure not to be the last! With a hard to solve  mystery, two men that are crazy about our main sleuth, and a few older single women meeting for a book club, how could you not love this cozy?

Arlo’s book club meets every Friday night at her bookstore to talk about the latest book that they are reading. Well, that is supposed to be the reason for their meeting. The book they are discussing, Missing Girl, was influenced by a real-life 50-year-old case in the town. Fern, Camille, and Helen are out to use this mystery to solve the cold case and there is not a thing Arlo can do to stop her friends. She just has to make sure they stay safe and stay out of the hair of Mads, the police chief.

Then what seems like a silly chase to find out the facts brings the trio and Arlo up on a murder in the same place the girl went missing 50 years ago! Can Arlo keep her friends out of danger and back in the bookstore reading the latest mystery?

I love the sense of humor you come across with these ladies, and the men that seem to have a thing for Arlo keeps you intrigued as well. A MURDER BETWEEN THE PAGES by Amy Lillard is one of my favorite cozy mysteries I read this year. I cannot wait for the next one.

SUMMARY

This murder will have to be solved by the book...

It was only a few months ago that the ladies of Arlo's Friday Night Book Club--Fern, Camille, and Helen--solved the murder of the renowned author, Wally Harrison. So when they select Wally's bestseller, Missing Girl, for their next discussion, Arlo is hopeful it will be the end of their mystery hunt.

But since their recent success as sleuths the crew officially see themselves as a women's mystery club, and they're convinced Missing Girl was inspired by a 50-year-old cold case. It's a case from their own Sugar Springs, Mississippi--the disappearance of Mary Kennedy--and Arlo can do little to stop the book club ladies from investigating.

But what starts out as a fun hunch quickly turns into a very real cold case murder mystery when a young girl is murdered in the exact place the women believe Mary went missing all those years ago. It's clear the two cases are connected--and the mystery book club is determined to find answers. With Arlo's help, they may just be able to crack the case.
