Inspirational Romance | Romance Suspense

Got to love that Border Collie geared up for work as a K9 officer. In the latest book in the ‘True Blue K9 Unit: Brooklyn’, we meet the talented, brave Hank and his human partner, Officer Vivienne Armstrong. The duo are in New York when a child is abducted from a park, and alerted by his mom’s frantic cries, Vivienne and Hank rush to start TRACKING A KIDNAPPER.

FBI agent Caleb Black is on hand in the immediate aftermath; kidnapping is potentially a federal crime. While aiding Vivienne through the process of giving information to a police sketch creator, he doesn’t think much except that she’s a colleague. But Vivienne has come to the attention of vengeful criminals, and soon Caleb is making her safety very much his business.

If you have read some of the K9 books in this series previously, you’ll recognise some familiar names, but mainly the tale centres on Caleb and Vivienne, and their troubles which only seem to increase. Hank is a loyal and smart dog, like all Border Collies, and the police training seems to suit him perfectly. He’s also good with kids. Unlike some other books in this series we don’t see much of the family lives of our principal characters. Caleb has a weight of sadness in his background and he isn’t keen to start a relationship. I like how we regularly see aspects of his FBI training emerging during the tale.

Valerie Hansen is a longtime creator of thrillers in the various K9 series and I have always enjoyed them. TRACKING A KIDNAPPER is a fitting addition to this Brooklyn-set series. One romantic suspense story will leave you hungry for more, so look up the other books which are by Laura Scott, Terri Reed, Lenora Worth, Heather Woodhaven and Sharon Dunn. So far they have been tremendous fun, and the inspirational romances are a ray of brightness if you are feeling down.
