Thriller

Professional courier Simon Leonidovich is contacted by the state department to deliver packages to Korea. Why on earth would the government need his help? After accepting the job, Simon discovers that he's mixed up in a plot including discriminating documents and a plan to overthrow the President. Also to his horror, a very dark and dangerous man from his past is connected to this whole bizarre assignment and he feels his life is in danger.

Being the professional that he is, Simon continues with the job even after he escapes assassination and his face is shown on live television. Now his undercover operation is in the open and everyone is looking for the American. With no one to trust, Simon skeptically accepts assistance from Mr. Lee, who has a plan to help him get out of Korea alive - - with a catch, of course. Lee enlists Simon's help to aid in the escape of his granddaughter, Soo-Lun, to South Korea to finally be with her parents. Now the real journey begins. Simon and Soo-Lun cross the border, but the reception is not welcoming. Will Soo-Lun be reunited with her family? And will Simon make it back to the states alive and discover who's really behind this whole operation?

LIVE WIRE is a fast-paced, heart-pounding story of mystery, adventure and espionage. MacLarty's previous titles, BAGMAN and THE COURIER contain the same page-turning excitement. This is another great addition to my library.

overthrowing the government of Kim Jong-il. To facilitate
this deadly covert operation, professional courier Simon
Leonidovich is recruited to deliver vital CIA documents to
the North Korean dissidents. But when Simon finds himself
