"The Sons of Texas finale is fantastic and sad"

Fresh Fiction Review

Romance Suspense

Maks Petrov has spent a long time searching for a way to end The Saints but now finds himself on the run. The Saints have secretly run the world using devastating, destructive devices to keep others in line, but not THE GUARDIAN, as Maks is known. He has lost friends and acquaintances to these people and will not lose another person no matter what it takes.

Eden Fontaine has lived in Europe as an information expert - there is nothing that is on a computer about someone that she cannot find and possibly know exactly where they are. When her job is to look for Maks she feels something is not right and when she meets up with him she knows her instinct was right. Teaming up together to fight back also brings them closer to one another than either had ever expected. It also gave them a very good reason to win the fight - to protect the person who holds their heart- as they try to save the world.

THE GUARDIAN is the fifth and finale of author Donna Grant's Sons of Texas series. The series has been an exciting action packed one that has readers holding their breath as they get deeper into the world that seems realistic and (hopefully) far-fetched at the same time. Maks and Eden are amazing individuals, talented, insightful and perfectly matched. As a finale, it worked out exactly as it should with the good guys winning but the way it was done is purely something only this author would give her readers.

It is hard to let a series go but this one has been so amazing that it really is heartbreaking. The Loughman's and those who were fighting the good fight from the beginning seem so realistic and caring that it is like saying goodbye to good friends.

SUMMARY

Knowledge is power. They live to protect. They live to fight for honor and justice. They live to love the women who have captured their souls. These are the Sons of Texas, from New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant.

As a double agent, Maks Petrov has been so many people, he doesn’t know who he is anymore. While he prefers to work alone, taking down an organization like the Saints requires some help—even if he loathes asking for it. Just one day in the company of a sexy, fearless, and brilliant information broker makes him realize what he’s been missing in life…and fantasizing about what he could have.

Eden Fontaine thought she knew the evils of the world until she was confronted with knowledge of the Saints and what they’ve done—and still could do. Lucky for her, she has Maks by her side, a trained operative who not only makes her feel safe and cared for but also makes her blood run hot. Eden’s never thought much about settling down, but Maks makes her crave a world without the Saints and the handsome guardian by her side for all eternity.

With the Saints upping their game, Maks and Eden have one shot at assembling the intelligence necessary to take down the evil organization for good. If they can, they may have a chance at the happily ever after they both deserve.
