Who would have thought Pigeons would fight crime, but they do. Rock Pigeon lives on a farm and he loves bread crumbs. When along comes Grandpouter Pigeon looking for a pigeon to dress up and fight crime. Rock is all in and away they go. The first place they visit is a park because of course, people always leave bread crumbs. Once they get there, they are surprised when there are no bread crumbs or people. they met up with three other pigeons, Frillback, Tumbler, and Homing. They put on their crime-fighting outfits so they can solve the mystery. What they come across is a cat, but a cat would never scare away people. They come upon a monster crow, but what they find out is that it is not a crow at all but a cat dressed up as one.

As they solve this puzzle it is on to the next. Where are all the bats that fly around at night? What the pigeons found out is that the bats are being trapped. Who would want to trap bats? So, after they save the bats it is on to the food trucks. Someone is trying to place a stink bomb so that all the food will be too rotten for humans to eat. Yet another puzzle that the pigeons must solve.

Andrew McDonald and Ben Wood write a really cute book for kids to read. It will hold the interest of readers of all ages! I also enjoyed the drawings in this book. It made all the creatures seem to come to life.
