Romance Paranormal | Holiday

SILVER TOWN WOLF: HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is the ninth book in Terry Spear’s “Silver Town Wolf” series. Reading about two people meeting and falling in love is fun, but as a longtime romance reader, I really enjoy stories about people who already know each other but change the dynamic in their relationship. Wolf shifters Meghan MacTire and Sheriff Peter Jorgenson were introduced to each other some books ago. They have been casually dating until deciding whether to take their relationship up a notch in SILVER TOWN WOLF: HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. Silver Town is an idyllic small town for paranormal romance fans to get lost in. The Christmas setting and ghosts bringing messages for loved ones left behind is the cherry on this sundae of paranormal werewolf yumminess.

Unbeknownst to the other, Megan and Peter both have secrets – nothing sinister, but they are enough to make them worry about the person’s reaction when the truth is finally revealed. In the past, Megan has learned to be cautious about telling people about her ability to communicate with ghosts. I love stories about any kind of extrasensory perception, so this story element is perfect for me. Megan also has one other thing she worries Peter won’t be able to handle. For Peter, he hasn’t told Megan that he had a mate who died years ago. These two are adorable as they court each other and worry over what they perceive to be ethical dilemmas. The rogue wolf with an axe to grind is scary but not too “CAPE FEAR”. The threat keeps things from too static and sweet and adds a few suspense thrills. Megan and Peter work together when they can, and complement each other extremely well. Once their secrets are revealed, they only give each of them a better understanding and appreciation of each other.

SILVER TOWN WOLF: HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is full of cozy holiday charm and werewolf romance rawr. This hero and heroine take on demanding ghosts, dangerous wolves, and still find time for building gingerbread houses and snow sculptures. Although it’s pretty much a given that these two wolves will get together, Terry Spear still manages to keep things sexy. I look forward to Terry Spear’s next tale of shapeshifter splendor.
