Bradach is a Reaper, one of Death's second group, who now work and live with the first Reapers in Deaths domain. He has never shirked his duty and never will. However, his next assignment may really be the death of him. They are all searching for a Fae who had helped them in their last battle, who is now missing and in the hands of an enemy—Usaeil. A fairly big problem for Bradach is that he has a deep hatred for the Dark Fae that he must overcome to find their friend. Perhaps a little DARK ALPHA'S REDEMPTION is in order.

Maeve is a Dark Fae and known as the Merciless, but the moment she meets Bradach, things begin to change for her. Behind her kick-butt attitude, there is a tiny bit of neediness that she would never admit. Needing someone, even for a moment, was not what she was brought up to feel, but with him she does feel things she never expected and wonders if there is yet hope for her.

DARK ALPHA'S REDEMPTION is a fast-paced, amusing, romantic read. Bradach certainly has his feeling down pat, until he meets Maeve and she throws him for a loop as do her feeling for him and herself. She never expected that any kind of redemption was possible for her as she is a Dark Fae. Though having read a number of books concerning these characters (Reapers, Death, Dark Fae, Light Fae and reader favorite Dragon Kings) by author Donna Grant, I cannot say that the Dark hold the evil key alone, as Usaeil, the Light Fae Queen, has done her utmost to make herself the supreme being for everyone. So seeing that Maeve is not all bad made for an interesting reading experience.

I really enjoyed reading DARK ALPHA'S REDEMPTION as it looked at individuals and did not lump everyone into one category or the other. Dark isn't necessarily bad, and Light isn't necessarily good. Both Maeve and Bradach needed to learn that lesson so their romance could get off the ground.

Readers will get to see other characters from past books by Ms. Grant and get hints of future happenings, but this book dealt with a DARK ALPHA'S REDEMPTION and finding a way to find love between two factions that don't believe they deserve it or maybe don't trust it completely. Some people complain about instant attraction in books, but as one who believes very much in love at first sight, I always find this particular imagery very much realistic. Maeve and Bradoch were instantaneous and mind-blowing as well as sweet in a way that will have readers smiling.

If you love a strong hero, strong-willed kick-butt heroine, moments of tension, fear and drama along with a romance that will leave you more than glad you read the book, then DARK ALPHA'S REDEMPTION will fill the bill and more!
