Zoey is redoing her life after leaving her husband Derek and moving to New York to live with her sister, Ruth. Now Zoey can be her own woman and work the hours she wants as a private caterer.
Zoey receives a call from Tristan Malloy, a millionaire and possible new client. Strangely, he tells her she only has to show up, and he'll provide everything she needs. When she gets to his house, Zoey walks into the most beautiful kitchen she's ever seen. Zoey gets to know Tristan better while she's doing prep work for his party. He's much different than she expects and they begin a friendship.
One night, Tristan agrees to go out with Zoey and Ruth for a night on the town. Lo and behold, sparks fly between Zoey and Tristan... But Zoey's ex has decided he wants her back, no matter what!
After reading so many murder mysteries, UNDER THE TABLE by Stephanie Evanovich was a delight. I really enjoyed the banter between Zoey and Tristain. This really shows just how opposites do attract.
Evanovich proves if a woman puts her mind to it, she can accomplish anything. UNDER THE TABLE will appeal to a variety of readers. It's a delightful book with a wonderful romance.
