Thriller Psychological

Emily was never looking for "Mr. Right" until she met Adam. They met in a bar; Emily was there with a group of her friends and Adam, just came up and introduced himself. Emily had always preferred to go to work, go home, and spend time with her friends Pippa and Seb... Until Adam became a part of her life. Now she spends all of her time with Adam, and they soon decide to move in together. Emily really wants to meet his family, and after much hesitation, Adam introduces Emily to his mother, Pamela. At first, Emily likes Adams mother, but things begin to change when they get engaged. Emily notices little things at first, but as the wedding draws closer, it seems like Pamela wants to be the center of attention. Emily also meets James, Adams brother, who is very laid back and a welcome change to Pamela. Adam, however, is not crazy about this, and he feels like his mother is pushing James on Emily. Why would his own mother try to pit his own brother against him? Then, when Pamela makes a devastating announcement, Emily feels caught. Adam starts acting distant and drinking more, while James continues to pursue her, and Pamela seems to be lurking in the background... Will Emily discover the true motives behind this strange family? Wow, THE OTHER WOMAN by Sandie Jones is a great mystery novel. I never could figure out who was lying and who was trying to protect Emily. The ending was a complete shock. I guess you never really can know anyone. I truly enjoyed this book. I also liked the interaction between Emily and her friends. Additionally, Adam was a well developed and dynamic character. Who knew what evil lurked in his mind? Pick up THE OTHER WOMAN for a riveting mystery to read.

SUMMARY

A deliciously disturbing, compulsively readable debut domestic suspense—prepare to meet The Other Woman: there’s nothing she won’t do to keep you away from her son . . . HE LOVES YOU: Adam adores Emily. Emily thinks Adam’s perfect, the man she thought she’d never meet. BUT SHE LOVES YOU NOT: Lurking in the shadows is a rival, a woman who shares a deep bond with the man she loves. AND SHE'LL STOP AT NOTHING: Emily chose Adam, but she didn’t choose his mother Pammie. There’s nothing a mother wouldn’t do for her son, and now Emily is about to find out just how far Pammie will go to get what she wants: Emily gone forever. The Other Woman is an addictive, fast-paced psychological thriller about the destructive relationship between Emily, her boyfriend Adam, and his manipulative mother Pammie.
