Jane Smith had the perfect life. She enjoys a great job in the corporate world, has the perfect apartment and good boyfriend. It all falls apart when she witnesses a murder. The changes this causes in her life will lead her to become the BAKRA BRIDE in a world far from the one she lost.
While trying to rebuild all she lost she finds a thrift store tapestry, an impulsive buy that soon transports her to a place called Javara ... a place this modern woman likens to medieval Earth. She also finds herself not in the arms of not one amazing man but two. Legend says she will choose whichever of the men please her the best or ... she can use the tapestry and return to her own time.
Zaren Bakra didn't believe that the legend would come again so soon. A neighbor had won the affections of his tapestry bride only a short time ago. But in front of him lies Jane. Now in the midst of violence and danger Zaren or his brother, Bador, must convince her to stay. Though each brother hopes to be her choice; they will abide by her choice or they just might lose her when the tapestry appears to take her back home.
BAKRA BRIDE is a re-release for author N.J. Walters, but if you haven't had the opportunity to read her Tapestry books you have got to grab these up. Book two follows the same basic format as book one, (Christina's Tapestry) and we even get to visit them again and see how Christina has adjusted to her new life.
As you can guess with two brothers vying for her affections, this is a very erotic book, but there is a good story in these pages. Jane's life is a mess and she finds herself in a world that she becomes the center, a nice change, but she also has the option of going back. There is some violence as other tribes want their own tapestry bride. The action is well written and the look at family and home life add emotional touches to the story line. You need not read book one to enjoy BAKRA BRIDE, but you will want to get your on all of the tapestry books for the pleasure of reading a racy, fun read.
