Thriller | Suspense Psychological

Michael and his wife Angela were spending a night at home when the doorbell rings. In the next twenty fours hours, his life will be changed. At the door is Michael's ex-wife Erica. Michael has not seen her in over ten years so what could she possibly want with him.

Erica claims that her daughter Felicity has gone missing. The other change of events is that Erica claims that Michael is the father and she needs his help. Michael is having a hard time taking all of this in. Why after all this time is Erica telling him this now? This comes at the wrong time as Michael and Angela have been trying to have their own child. Michael doesn't know why, but he agrees to help Erica find her daughter.

As the time ticks away Michael and Erica head out to see what they can find out about Felicity. This trip will take them into many strange incidents. They find a teacher from her school who showed a lot of interest in Felicity. The police have already spoken with him, but let him go. Erica is sure that he had something to do with her daughter's disappearance.

As Angela sits at home trying to figure things out, she speaks with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. It seems that they both had been in contact with Erica and knew all about this little girl. Angela is shocked that they kept this information from her and Michael. Everything goes back to when Michael and his sister Lynn were young. Their little sister Robyn died when she on a swing set. Both of them have always blamed themselves for her death. Now it seems everything is coming full circle, and Felicity may or may not be who Erica claims...

I really enjoyed the fact that SOMEBODY'S DAUGHTER took place in just twenty- four hours. David Bell did a great job of describing the characters in this storyline. To wake up one morning and then all of a sudden everything in your lives change. Bell's thriller about what people will do to protect each other is very powerful. Bell also shows how sometimes secrets have to be told, if nothing else to save people from hurting each other. Bell also shows how Michael and Angela can overcome anything. Bell has you on a roller coaster trying to figure out if Michael is really the father of this child. This book is out now; pick it up, you will love it.

SUMMARY

In this pulse-pounding novel of psychological suspense from the bestselling and acclaimed author of Bring Her Home and Since She Went Away, a man must save the life of a little girl who just might be his daughter....

When Michael Frazier's ex-wife, Erica, unexpectedly shows up on his doorstep, she drops a bombshell that threatens to rip his family apart: Her ten-year-old daughter is missing--and Michael is the father. Unsure whether this is the truth but unwilling to leave the girl's fate to chance, Michael has no choice but to follow the elusive trail of the child he has always wanted but never knew he had.

Over the course of one night, lies that span a decade come bubbling to the surface, putting Michael, his wife, and his whole family in jeopardy. And as the window for a little girl's safe return closes, Michael will have to decide who can be trusted and who is hiding the truth....
