The last person aristocrat lawyer Nathaniel Knightridge expected to barge into his home was the widowed Baroness Charlotte Mardenford. When she starts trying to convince him to back her in her campaign to reform woman's rights, he'll do anything to make her stop. Even kiss her. Kissing her reminds Nathaniel of an incredible night he spent a month ago with a mysterious woman who covered her face with a mask and soon he's seducing Charlotte in his sitting room. Before he can complete the seduction however, another uninvited guest arrives and Nathaniel rushes Charlotte out before she can be seen.

Nathaniel has been asked to prosecute a case concerning a man who's accused of trying to blackmail a member of the ton. Before there can be a trial though, the man if found dead in his cell, having committed suicide. Unable to let go of the things the accused told Nathaniel before his death, Nathaniel starts looking into the case which involves Lord James Mardenford, Charlotte's brother-in- law. Unknown to Nathaniel, Charlotte is the mystery woman who haunts his thoughts. She wants Nathaniel but she wants to protect her family also. The more he pursues his suspicions, the bigger the wall becomes between Nathaniel and Charlotte. Will Nathaniel figure out that Charlotte is his mystery masked woman? Who will Charlotte choose if it comes down to either Nathaniel or her late husband's family?

LADY OF SIN is a thoroughly enjoyable read. Madeline Hunter has created another must read in a long list of must reads. Nathaniel is delectably sinful and Charlotte is just the woman for him. Sparks will fly in every direction, leaving you absolutely breathless. The mystery of who Harry is and what will happen to Nicholas and Charlotte once the truth is revealed with have you devouring this book in one sitting. As an added bonus, we get to catch up with some favorite characters from Ms. Hunter's previous novels. Be sure to add this to your must read list and if you already haven't, also check out previous books by this immensely talented author.
