The worse comes days later when she starts receiving things in the mail from that night. Videos, pictures, recordings, etc. meaning someone knows what happened even if she does not. This someone is blackmailing her, will she find out who it is before it is too late? This blackmail brings up things from the past that she must confront. She may find out that things are never what they seem.

A story with many twists in it, THE GIRL I USED TO BE really leaves you baffled as much as the main character at her unfortunate turn of events until you see where Torjussen takes the story at the end.
