Gary Foster is married to the woman of his dreams, Beth, and they are going to have a baby after nineteen years of trying. Gary and his brother Rob own a sports store. Rob is married to Sara. One day Gary gets a phone call: Beth is in the hospital after passing out while shopping. The doctor tells them Beth has a brain tumor and they can't operate on it, and that she has maybe 5 months to live.
Gary and Beth can't believe what they are hearing. Both decide that they will do what they have to to make the next months the best ever. One day Beth passes out again and the news from the doctors is not good at all. It seems that the tumor is growing. The doctor also tells them that there is a clinic in Germany that has a new trial starting and Beth is approved. The only major problem is the cost, which is $200,000. Gary's sister-in-law sets up a fundraiser to get as much money as they can to help with the cost of the new treatment. After an advertisement for the fundraiser runs in the paper, Gary gets a strange phone call from a man named Shamrock.
Shamrock has a deal for Gary: if he accepts he will get all the money he needs to save Beth's live. All Gary has to do is kill a policeman. The cop is a dirty cop who has been hassling Shamrock for months. The cop wants a lot of money from Shamrock, along with a drug dealer that Shamrock owes money to. Shamrock feels that if the cop is gone, he can pay off the drug dealer. At first, Gary tells him no way, but then he starts thinking about it and how easy it would be to save his wife's life with one doing this one unthinkable task...
