Abbie Wu is starting another year in middle school. Abbie always feels like if something was going to go wrong, it would. Being in school meant that she would have her own locker, and she can decorate it any way she wants. But when she gets to school, Abbie sees that someone already has stuff in her locker!
It seems that the school made a mistake and Abbie has to share her locker with Jessica. Abbie doesn't even know who Jessica is, or that she went to their school! To make awkward matters worse, she also finds that Jessica is also her assigned partner for a science project. Abbie decides that she must do something to get Jessica out of her locker, and tries to come up with ideas with her other friends to get Jessica to want to leave the locker. But no matter what she does, Jessica has no problems with any of it. Abbie wonders what is wrong with this girl!
On top of all of this, her little sister gets a cat for her birthday. The cat loves everyone but Abbie. It will not leave her alone! Meanwhile, at school, Jessica and Abbie are trying to come up with a science project, but nothing seems to work... Until at the same time, they both come up with an idea that should not only get them a great grade but will also help Abbie's cat situation at home. Will their hard work pay off? And will they be able to finally be friends?
Booki Vivat's cute graphic novel,
Things are looking up for Abbie Wu: this year sheβll run
for class president and get a brand-new shiny locker.
Untilβshe doesnβtβ¦
In her second tumultuous misadventure, Abbie Wu tackles
more unbelievably unfair and calamitous middle school
days. From facing locker thieves and battling diabolical
cats to having absolutely no idea what to build for her
science project, Abbie Wu is still in perpetual crisis.
From author and professional doodler Booki Vivat, this
second story follows Abbie Wu, your favorite hilariously
neurotic middle school girl, as she tries to come up with
solutions to what seems to be a series of inevitable
catastrophes.
