COWBOY SEAL HOMECOMING is the first book in the Navy
SEAL Cowboys book series by Nicole Helm and is a
military contemporary romance novel. I found this novel to
be an intense and realistic read with a heavy content focus
on mental health issues that many SEAL members face when
returning home. A topic that many people can relate to or
know someone who is suffering. This illness affects not only
the service member but their family and friends as well.
The development of Alex and Becca's relationship encounters
is a wide range of emotions that help to build a strong bond
between the two of them. Becca also develops friendships
with Gabe and Jack. She understands to an extent what they
are facing and tries to help be there as a friend for them.
The character development is so profound in this novel
taking you on quite a ride as you read and watch them grow
and become their true selves. You will experience first hand
what it is like for everyone around them in their lives
while they struggle with their mental health. An illness
that is hard for some to understand or accept.
Helm writes with such an open and caring heart that it shows
with each word or scene she creates. She really has created
an outstanding story and one that many can understand. The
setting plays hand in hand with the overall theme and plot
of the story by creating the picture-perfect backdrop for
such a relatable read. A cowboy out on the open range is the
ideal place to help deal and work through problems. COWBOY
SEAL HOMECOMING is setting up the scene for a wonderful book
series. The ending is not a cliffhanger but seems to build
up anticipation for the next book in the Navy
SEAL Cowboys book series. I cannot wait to read the
next book Cowboy SEAL
Redemption!
Three former Navy SEALs Injured in the line of duty Desperate for a new beginning... Searching for a place to call their own.
Alex Maguire never thought he'd go home again. The perfect
soldier, the perfect leader, he's spent his whole life
running away from Blue Valley, Montana—but when a tragic
accident bounces him and two of his men out of the SEALs,
there's nowhere left to turn but the ranch he used to call
his own...and the confusing, innocently beguiling woman who
now lives there.
Becca Denton's like nothing he could have imagined. She's
far too tempting for her own good, but when she offers to
help turn the ranch into a haven for injured veterans, he
can't exactly say no. He'll just need to keep his distance.
But something in her big green eyes makes Alex want to set
aside the mantle of the perfect soldier and discover the man
he could have been...safe and whole within the shelter of
her arms.
