The Unbroken Heroes are men who do not really exist as they do their shadowy jobs. If you need a hero then these men will be more than happy to TAKE TO THE LIMIT with their best effort.
Bram Magnus is one such man, tough and ready but he has one weakness, his girlfriend's younger sister, Jaelyn. His relationship with LeAnn is a friend with benefits, but Jaelyn doesn't know that and when they finally share a kiss it nearly poleaxes him. He starts to face the truth. She is it for him, but he doesn't want to have these deep feelings for her. Bram is determined to be a full member of this shadow ops group and nowhere does a love belong.
Jaelyn has had the hots for Bram ever since her sister brought him home. Knowing he is headed for deployment she decides to take one last chance and one hot kiss later, she still feels the same. Believing there is no chance, she tries to move on.
Without knowing it, Bram sends danger to her and her family and his team must come to the rescue. Can he help them get their lives back together and keep his heart intact? Because all in all there are two things he wants and one is Jaelyn.
TAKE TO THE LIMIT is action-packed, steamy and intense! There is so much happening I am not sure where to start. Bram Magnus has a particular mindset that only Jaelyn can twist, but his fear for her safety always has him pulling back. I guess you can say he is flawed but in a good way; he is thinking of the woman he loves safety, but he is forgetting that she just might have other ideas about what she wants in her life. There are a number of misunderstandings that are handled with realistic twists. I loved where he finally decided that she was more important than being in the ops team. That isn't giving any kind of spoiler because you really have to see what he goes through to get there. I started laughing when Jaelyn finally takes things into her own hands, forcing the issue in such a way that I think will have the readers silently, and not so silently cheering. The secondary characters are varied and, except for the bad guys, are all likable, mysterious, sneaky and snarky. The bad guys are definitely ones you never want to meet in any circumstance.
If you want a love that holds on (despite the hero's best attempts), bad guys to beat, action of the weapon kind and the steamy kind, laughter and camaraderie then TAKE TO THE LIMIT is what you need.
