Get yourself some sweet tea and perhaps just a small slice
of pie and settle in for a visit to a place that feels
like home.
Mercy Dane can take care of herself. Alone in the world,
having aged out of the foster care system she has built a
life for herself including her chosen family of coworkers
at the Road Warrior Bar in Savannah.
Police Chief Lon Pittman is a good man doing an excellent
job for his home town of Blessings, Georgia but he's never
been able to forget the night he spent with a mystery
woman he knows only as Lucky.
A PIECE OF MY HEART is book four in the Blessings,
Georgia series by Sharon Sala. Gods I love this book. If
you
haven't read any of the Blessings,
Georgia series you are
in for a treat! I advise buying all of them. Yes, you can
read this one as a stand-alone but why cheat yourself out
of a truly lovely experience?
Sharon Sala is well-known as a gifted romance writer, but
A PIECE OF MY HEART has a certain shine to it, a glow and
depth that makes it even better than the already terrific
series she has written. I was hooked by an early scene of
a high-speed motorcycle chase (as witnessed by Ruby, one
of my favorite characters) and continued to be
entertained, moved and brought to laughter throughout the
book. By the time I turned that last page, I knew this
book was headed straight for my keeper shelf, to re-read
whenever I need a dose of small town love to counteract
the urban landscape outside my window.
After the small hints given in A PIECE OF MY HEART, I feel
sure there will be a book five in the series. While I am
waiting, Sharon Sala has other series I can explore, thank
goodness!
New York Times and USA Today
bestselling author Sharon Sala writes dreams come true
in her newest contemporary romanceShe's never had a home
Growing up in a troubled foster home, Mercy Dane knew she
could never rely on anyone but herself. She's used to giving
her all to people who don't give her a second glance, so
when she races to Blessings, Georgia, to save the life of an
accident victim, she's flabbergasted when the grateful town
opens its arms to her. She never dreamed she'd ever find
family or friends-or a man who looks at her as if she hung
the stars.
Until she finds peace in his arms
Police Chief Lon Pittman is getting restless living in
sleepy little Blessings. But the day Mercy Dane roars into
his life on the back of a motorcycle, practically daring him
to pull her over, he's lost. There's something about Mercy's
tough-yet-vulnerable spirit that calls to Lon, and he will
do anything in his power to make her realize that home isn't
just where the heart is-home is where their heart is.
