THIS IS OUR SONG is the fourth book in the Shaughnessy
Brothers series by Samantha Chase, and as usual, it's a
refreshing, heartwarming story about the meaning of family.
It's a story showing how the loss of a mother effects each
family member's life and the course that their choices takes
them. I find this series so refreshing because of the way
Samantha Chase delves emotionally into each character. She
does a wonderful job in showing how these adult children,
along with their father, discover the extent of losing their
mother at a young age affected all of them in different ways.
Riley Shaughnessy knew from a young age that singing was
something he loved to do, especially with his mother. So in
order to stand out in his big family he set out to become
famous as a musician. So he followed that dream and became a
famous rock star. After his success with his band he decides
to go solo. His problem is that he is having difficulty
trying to complete his first solo album due to writer's block.
He has a deadline and has been given an ultimatum. He has to
work with an entertainment reporter doing a story about his
life. This particular reporter is not impressed with his
fame.
Savannah Daly is not happy with her assignment of following
around a "pretty-boy" rock star. She already has her own
preconceived perceptions about entertainers. But once she
spends time with Riley and his family she sees a different
side to him that changes her opinion. Riley and Savannah
discover feelings that neither of them were expecting and find
themselves glued to each other. But that relationship is
threatened when a past "unintentional" incident changes
everything.
Riley and Savannah will both learn some valuable lessons about
themselves and how they view life and the choices they make
in THIS IS OUR SONG.
Shaughnessy
Brothers is a wonderful family oriented series about
how they each
support one another and provide sage advice. I am looking
forward to reading Owen's story and hopefully one also for
Darcy. A really great series!!!!
She knows him by reputation
Making a name for himself as a musician wasn’t easy, but he
followed his dreams to rock-star success. But the relentless
expectations of fans is not helping the slump he's in now.
So of course the person who attracts him is the woman who is
not impressed by fame.
Which gives Riley Shaughnessy a lot to prove
Entertainment reporter Savannah Daly is completely unfazed
by pretty-boy rock stars. She’s just here to get her
interview and write her story. But spending an entire month
with the Shaughnessys is going to show Savannah a side of
Riley she never could have guessed.
