Romance Suspense

SAFE FROM HARM is the next story in the Protect and Serve series about prosecuting attorney Elle McCoy and Deputy Gabe Dawson. Elle and Gabe have this love/hate relationship where they take jabs at each other. This story deals with religious fanatics who have convinced themselves that they are justified in carrying out their acts of revenge. If you read the previous book in this series you will become reacquainted with the Dawson family, who are all law enforcement officers.

Elle McCoy has watched various women revolve in and out of relationships with Gabe Dawson and has done everything to make sure she does not become one of them. So far she's been doing a pretty good job until the day that Gabe takes a bullet that was intended for her. Elle has always viewed Gabe as a cocky playboy but begins to see a different side to him when things get dangerous when she along with him family are pursued by this extremist family. Gabe started out harmlessly flirting with Elle and trying to get under her skin. But when a real threat puts her life in jeopardy he realizes just how much Elle means to him and he will do whatever it takes to keep her SAFE FROM HARM.

What I enjoyed most about SAFE FROM HARM is the relationship between these law enforcement brothers and their father. The brothers kid around and make fun of each other but when there is a threat against one of them you take them all on along with their father. There is so much respect and love between the siblings and the father. Even though they are all adults now it becomes obvious just how important the father's approval is to each of these men. The father may show a gruff exterior but when any of his sons are in pain or threatened you see a different side of him. I hope there will be a story about the father and the aunt because they have previous history.

SUMMARY

It's All Harmless Flirting Until Someone Gets Shot...

Deputy Gabe Dawson has had his eye on prosecuting attorney Elle McCoy for years. But the smart, sassy redhead is immune to his legendary charm and good looks--until Gabe is shot on the courthouse steps protecting Elle from a vengeful domestic extremist.

Elle has been protecting her heart from the cocky playboy cop. But it's hard not to notice a guy when he takes a bullet for you and seems determined to turn his life around. With terrorists still at large and Elle a target, Gabe and his law enforcement brothers kick into high gear to take down the threat. And as they work together, Elle realizes she's losing her heart to a man who will risk it all to keep her safe from harm.
